What is the ITP?

The NIA Interventions Testing Program is the gold standard for aging research. Each compound is tested at 3 independent sites (Jackson Lab, U-Michigan, UT Health San Antonio) with genetically heterogeneous mice, making results uniquely robust and reproducible.

Composite Score

Calculated from three weighted factors:

  • 40% Best lifespan extension (mouse data)
  • 40% Human trial phase advancement
  • 20% Number of active human trials
